ART OF RUNNING specialist workshop series run by Malcolm Balk – International Running Coach, Alexander Technique teacher, and Author of ‘The Art of Running’.
Malcolm has been an avid runner for many years and recently ran a sub-3hr marathon to coincide with his 50th birthday – Now, that’s walking the talk!
‘Art of Running’ workshops are based on the proven principles of the Alexander Technique, which encourage good use of the body and greater awareness of the way it functions, and the revolutionary new Posetech Method, developed by leading Russian coach Nicholas Romanov. Malcolm is a Level 4 athletics coach from Canada, certified Posetech Method instructor and a world expert on the Alexander Technique and running. He shows how to achieve and maintain fitness without injury and overcome self-imposed limitations to successful running.
These practical workshops are ideal for runners of all ages and levels of fitness and experience. Whether you are a novice or an experienced runner, The Art of Running will give you real insight into the sport and how you can transform your training and performance. Malcolm also uses video analysis for ‘before and after’ study to highlight the effects of the technique on your running style.
3-hour Workshops and a limited number of 1-hour Individual Sessions will be held in Melbourne from the 5th to 14th November 2005. Alternatively you can have Malcolm come to a venue of your choice for an exclusive workshop (minimum 15 participants).
