It was 39 degrees celsius yesterday, that's 102 degrees in the old language. Not a bad effort for spring, I wouldn't be suprised if we are seeing 45 degrees (113) in summer. Ah the joys of global warming.
It was an appropriate time to crack open our first bottle of home made ginger beer. It was great success, not as sweet as the commercial stuff which is what you want on a hot day. We haven't made ginger beer for years but, unlike versions of Windows, the recipe does not go obselete. It works just as well now.
That is a picture of a ginger flower by the way. I thought it looked much more interesting than a picture of a bottle of ginger beer.
In these days of fast food and convenience stores it is a good feeling to create something the old fashioned way. Why not give it a go yourself.
