Which beliefs does it defy? You will need to specify these as beliefs vary widely from person to person.

A further thought - what would an ex-programmer, Church of Christ minister believe?

A belief in the basic compassion that one citizen of a civilised country has for his countrymen.

I would think that with various and sundry ne'er-do-wells taking pot shots at relief workers that establishing law and order would need to be the number one priority in order for relief efforts to function and move forward. Regardless of my feelings about the slow response and who may or may not be responsible, this photo wreaks of someone's political agenda which I find disturbing.

Where did this photo come from? It almost looks photoshopped...

Yes, on examination it does have a photoshopped look doesn't it. Perhaps we should view it as a photoessay rather than factual. It makes an interesting statement of the response to the crisis whichever is the case.

This makes an interesting statement of someone's opinion trying to portrey it as fact. This is called lying. This also appears to be a statement of the the federal governments slow reaction. I agree the feds needed to be in there quicker however, it was the responsibility of the local and state govt to request help. Help was initially offered but was turned down by the LA governor. Why does the federal government need to baby sit the local govt of LA? Why have state and local govt if the fed are expected to micromanage?
