The Green Man is a foliate face that has existed in the western european culture from the depths of time. Originating in this region he is typically depicted with a face of leaves from the great trees of the region, such as oak.

I am revisiting the GreenMan site today (the last time I was here was May 24, 2004!) because I am re-checking my bibliography entries for final submission. My thesis is on the Resurgence of the image in today's culture. Whew, GreenMan you have blown my mind...What an incredible completion of an amazing cirlce....or is this a beginning?
